Date of birth: 4 January 1939 (died: 22 September 1994)
Despite a relative lack of height, in the 1960s Igor Chislenko was one
of Europe's most dynamic outside - or inside-rights. Played 300 league
games for FC Dinamo Moskva, winning two Soviet league titles and the Soviet
cup on one occasion.
He was the best Soviet forward in the 1966 World Cup and their prospects
of reaching the final disappeared when he was sent off during the semi-final
against the Federal Republic of Germany. Played 54 times for the Soviet
Union and scored 21 goals.
