Igor Netto

Date of birth: 9 January 1930 (died: 30 March 1999)

Igor Netto captained the Soviet Union to victory in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. A stylish left-half, he led the Soviets by example, captaining them from 1954 to 1963 and collecting 54 international caps and four goals in the process.
