ARSHAVIN VOTED THE NATIONAL TEAM LEADER
Zenit St. Petersburg striker Andrey Arshavin grabbed the
Sport Express' National Team Leader award.
58.6 per cents os Sport Express readres voted for Arshavin, while 18.8
per cents voted for CSKA keeper Igor Akinfeev.
Egor Titov's comeback to the national team earned him 16.8 per cents of
votes.
"I am very happy to be named the national team leader," told
Arshavin to Sport Express.
"I remember Sport Express did not hand the prize last year and I
was the leader at the time as well."
"So this year I did everything to win the prize and I am glad I did."
"I agreed with the last year's decision not to give the prize to
anybody because nobody deserved it."
"I always follow the votes as it is very interesting for me whom
the fans consider the national team leader."
"We had some good games this season and my best one came against
Latvia."
