The 20-man squad unveiled by Guus Hiddink yesterday gave a few surprises to football supporters.

However some changes were inevitable as Spartak forward Roman Pavlyuchenko is out through an injury and his counterpart Pavel Pogrebnyak is suspended.

To make up for these significant losses Hiddink included in the squad Aleksandr Kerzhakov who is on his way to become Sevilla key player and Evgeni Savin from Amkar Perm. It is the frist time Savin is invited to the national team.

The young forawrd shared his feelings with Sport Express.

"I must be dreaming," said Savin.

"In my first year in Russian Pemier Liga I was voted the best player in Perm region and now I get an invitation to the national side."

"Moreover we beat Rostov in the opening game of the new season."

"However I don't think I played extremely well in that game as I blew off three wonderful opprtunites which is inconeivable for a forward."

"I must admit I could not expect to get such an honour."

"It is a great responsibility and I am going to do my best to live up to the manager's expectations."

"I owe this honour to my partners and managers in Amkar."
