KERZHAKOV GETS A RESPITE
Russian side forward Alexandr Kerzhakov speaks about his performance in
Sevilla.
Recently Gimnastica Segoviana CF gained a narrow victory
1-0 over Sevilla.
Russian team manager Guus Hiddink came to that game in order to watch
Kerzhakov playing but Sevilla forward had to sit on the bench and couldn't
show his best.
"I even wasn't aware of Hiddink's arrival," said Kerzhakov to
Sport Express.
"I knew that he was going to come but his visit became a big surprise
to me."
"Our coach on physical training told me before the game that I could
stay on the bench because of my intensive schedule."
"I played two games during only four days and needed to have a rest."
"In Sevilla clash with Barcelona Kerzhakov played from the first
minutes but this time he was in reserve."
"Sevilla was defeated by an outsider and lost the chance to break
away from Barcelona."
"Such outcomes are not considered as sensational in Spain."
"The championship level is high and every team has chances to win."
"We could defeat Gimnastica but didn't use our chances."
"In the near future Hiddink will announce the squad for the qualifier
