KERZHAKOV BACK TO ACTION
Russian national team forward Aleksandr Kerzhakov scored a goal for Sevilla
in Spanish championship.
After recovering from an injury Kerzhakov played a full
game for Sevilla against Betis in UEFA quarterfinal.
Russian star forward missed UEFA clash in round of 16 against Shakhtar
but now he has come back to game.
Sevilla striker was included in the starting line-up and scored a goal
during additional time.
Sevilla played well on the counterattacks and possessed territorial advantage
throughout the game.
"We had a lead and then had to stick to defence," said Kerzhakov
to Sport Express.
"Moreover during the second half we took an advantage and we got
more freedom in action."
"So Celta had an opportunity to win but it was Sevilla who qualified
into the next round."
"Our goalkeeper Palop was injured during the game and was substituted."
"Before the game the entire stadium welcomed him with delight remembering
his wonderful goal which he scored in recent match against Shakhtar."
"I had to miss that clash through injury but now I'm quite all right
and ready to fight."
"Fortunately I didn't have to miss lots of games and had some practice."
"So now I feel that I'm 100% ready to play."
"I will go to train with Russian national team in perfect mood not
only because I managed to score for my team."
"I'm very happy to return to national team and meet my friends."
"I'm absolutely sure in our national side and have no doubts in our
future win."
"Of course I hope to take part in the game also."
