IGNASHEVICH: LEADER OF NATIONAL TEAM
Sergei Ignashevich was voted the National team leader after the game
against Croatia.
Sport Express readers gave their votes to Ignashevich and
awarded him with 12 points.
Yuri Zhirkov became the second with 10 points leaving behind Vyacheslav
Malafeev who earned 8 points.
For CSKA midfielder Zhirkov it is the second time in a row when the Sport
Express readers gave him the second place.
The hero of Russia previous match against Andorra Alexander Kerzhakov
became only the fourth and added 6 points to his personal tally.
For today Sevilla striker heads the race for the National team award race
with 30 points.
Zhirkov is coming close to him as he stands the second with 23 points.
Only one point divides him from Andrei Arshavin who is capable to move
closer to the top positions after Russia next match.
