Sevilla crowned their outstanding season in which they clinched
UEFA Cup and the bronze of the domestic championship with another title.
An early goal from Frederic Kanoute determined the outcome of Sevilla-Getafe
clash for Spanish Cup.
The Russian forward Alexander Kerzhakov replaced Luis Fabiano in the second
half and though he did not succeed in scoring the forward showed good
work.
"I must admit that UEFA Cup victory was naturally far more joyful
for us," said Kerzhakov to Sport Express.
"The season was so long and all I want now is to have a bit of rest."
"I made 28 appearances during five months and I am tired to death."
"As for my partners, they've spent nine months playing without a
respite."
"Sevilla supporters waited so long for our success so we will celebrate
together with them in Sevilla."
"We will have holidays after that as the coming season will be still
more tense and interesting."
"We are going to face Real and Milan in Champions League qualifying
round."
"The Spanish domestic championship and Champions League battles will
have come to a head by next June."
"Yet I hope to see action in summer as well."
"I mean the final tournament of Euro-2008 as I am sure Russia will
play there."
