As the Austrian capital gears up for next summer's finals, the main roads
are to be given a special EURO makeover in advance of the start of the
tournament on 7 June 2008. Deputy mayor Grete Laska and former national
team coach Herbert Prohaska helped hang the first of the 100 dark red
flags, which include the EURO and Vienna city logos, on the ring road.
The city will hang other EURO flags as the finals draw closer.
