The Russian national side manager is expected to visit Lokomotiv-Krylya
Sovetov clash today and FC Moskva-Zenit, CSKA-Kuban fights that will take
place tomorrow.
The next time Hiddink comes to Russia will be in July.
"I have not been in Russia for three weeks as I visited my motherland
Holland to see the U-21 European championship," explained Guus Hiddink
his stay-away from Russia to Sport Express.
"It is a pity Russia turned unable to gain a spot at the competition
since it is a great experience for the players."
"Yet Russia managed to advance to the U-19 European Championship
and there is a possibility that I will go to see this team in action."
"Premier Liga teams will be able to field only four foreign players
in 2010 so the clubs are now preoccupied with the progress of the young."
"So it will give Russia a certain advantage as it will develop the
infrastracture and make the choice for the national side greater."
"I've been keeping up with the events in Russian football and I think
they prove the level of Russian Championship is on the rise."
"Unpredictability makes the level of the championship higher as any
team can beat any other team."
"As for the candidates who play abroad I would like to give a special
mention to Sevilla forward Alexander Kerzhakov."
"He makes fewer appearances than we want him to as he is not a regular
starter."
"The competition is really fierce in the club but he is working hard
to get a spot in the starting lineup."
"As for Viktor Boudiansky who will have to play for Ascoli in Serie
B, I can say that it does not add up toh is chances to become a regular
member of the national side."
"A lot has been said about our clashes with England but for me it
is Macedonia clash that is the most important now."
"Our group opponents are really formidable and I think the closing
matches will give the names of those who get a spot at the European championship."
