Statistics says Zenit managed to fire in five goals behind
Akinfeev in twelve games but this time Premier Liga titleholders will
have to do without ambitious goalie.
This match will sure to offer a fierce and fantastic battle to supporters
so CSKA goalkeeper shared his views on the forthcoming game with Sport
Express readers.
"I conceded only three goals in seven away matches that took place
in Saint Petersburg so this city is likely to become a lucky one for me",
states Akinfeev.
"Moreover my successful performance is mainly due to CSKA defenders'
display who always show their best skills."
"It's no use to make any predictions on the coming game since both
teams need to come out to the field and play only for the victory."
"Everybody understands there is no way out so I think the teams will
manage to score not one goal and I hope it will be CSKA who will score
the winner."
"As for me, I try to return into full fitness as soon as possible
and help my team."
"Both CSKA and Zenit are likely to concentrate mainly on defense
in the coming game but everything will also depend on midfielders' display."
"To my mind the winner will be the team who will make fewer mistakes
in defense and of course defenders' performance will make the goalkeeper
stand firm in the goal."
"CSKA have good chances to win the gold this season and everything
is up to us."
"If we manage to win all games, we will come closer to the podium.
