Lucerne, Switzerland - Guus Hiddink believes Russia have been drawn in
an evenly balanced group after Sunday's Euro 2008 finals draw in Lucerne
put his side up against Greece, Sweden and Spain in Group D. "I have
already taken on Greece when I was coach of Australia," said the
Dutchman.
"There is no outsider in this group but I think the other three teams
are glad to have us as an opponent. But qualification isn't enough for
us, we want to cause a surprise and progress to the quarter-finals."
Russia's first game is on June 10 against Spain in the Austrian city of
Innsbruck, followed by Greece in Salzburg four days later. Russia's final
group game is against Sweden on June 18 back in Innsbruck.
