The Dutch specialist didn't extend the RFU deal yet, however
Hiddink claims he will sign the contract as soon all details are settled
down.
"I would like to clear up the situation with the deal because Vitaly
Mutko and I had agreed I would continue my work with the Russian national
team in the World Cup qualifying stage", said Hiddink to Sport Express.
"When both sides settled down all the issues I will sign an extension
to my contract with the RFU."
"Speaking about Euro-2008 finals, I should say Russian players need
to come perfectly prepared for the coming season."
"In this case they will manage to start pre-tournament preparations
being at their best form while the coaching staff are to consider details
of the trainings process."
"Russia need to play well against any team since we are very happy
to reach play-offs and of course we want to perform well in Austria and
Switzerland."
"Spain are the main favorites of our group while Greece and Sweden
will also be very hard to beat."
"Russia are considered the underdogs, however we are not going to
lay down the arms and will do everything possible to prove we are not
losers."
