SCHUMACHER BELIEVES IN RUSSIAN TEAM

A well-known German player shares his views on the Euro-2008
draw that brought Russian against Greece, Spain and Sweden in Group D.
"I think Russian side stand good chances to enter the next stage
of the European tournament along with Spain", said Schumacher to
Sport Express.
"Half a year ago I said that Russia would get an upper hand over
Croatia and England in the qualifying group and I was right."
"Russia's participation in the continental showpiece is quite natural
and I repeat myself saying that they are able to progress from the group."
"I think Guus Hiddink's team won't have any problems with winning
a right to continue European journey."
"There is no sense in judging the team's level only after two games
against Israel and Andorra so I am convinced Russia could give enough
surprises in Austria and Switzerland."
