MUTKO: WE ARE READY FOR THE SEASON
Vitaly Mutko visited the Sport Express editorial ahead of the Russian
Premier Liga season kick-off.

The Russian Football Union president Vitaly Mutko
starts his third season in charge of the Russian football.
"Now I am absolutely sure and have no worries as we open the season
being well-prepared for it", said Mutko to Sport Express.
"These two years at the post of the RFU president were very fruitful
since we managed to reestablish football management, normalize relations
with the leagues, associations and other institutions which deal with
sports competitions."
"Ahead of Euro-2008 finals we worked out a program as we consul with
experienced specialists and analyze practice of other football federations."
"We are not going to invite the goalkeeper's coach as Guus Hiddink
said he is satisfied with the present state of things in the national
team."
"It's hard to say who will be Russia's leader at the European competition
as players have enough time to show their best skills."
"Andrei Arshavin's desire to switch to the foreign club is quite
understandable."
"He is a skillful player and I am sure money is not the key factor
for him as he just wants to try himself in a stronger league."
