IZMAILOV TO COME BACK TO RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM
Marat Izmailov is set to make a comeback to the Russian national team
in the friendly game with Romania on March 26.

Sporting halfback Marat Izmailov was featured for the Russian
team in 2006 in the match against Israel.
"I keep in touch with Alexander Borodyuk and when I missed Russia's
training exercises in Turkey, he told me the coaching staff watches my
performance in Sporting", said Izmailov to Sport Express.
"I try not to think about Euro-2008 finals now since I should earn
a place in the roster at first."
"I don't have much information about Romanian national side so I
don't know their level."
"Sporting are not successful in the Portugal championship, but I
can't say this season is a failure for us."
"We are only four points behind the second place and we are able
to fight back in seven games left till the end of the season."
"Moreover, we keep performing in the UEFA Cup, Cup of Portugal and
the League Cup and to my mind we could snatch these three trophies."
