CSKA Moscow and Amkar Perm will come up against each other
in the final game of the Russian Cup.
The Moscow club advanced into the final match of the tournament with a
2-1 victory over Tom.
Milos Krasic opened the scoring on the 14th minute to give his side a
1-0 lead, however Tom replied thirteen minutes later through Klimov's
strike.
Sergei Ignashevic scored the winner for CSKA after the interval thus securing
a spot in the final game.
The second finalist will be Amkar Perm who sealed a narrow 1-0 victory
over Ural with Dujmovic being the only scorer of the game.
The Russian team manager Guus Hiddink shared his impressions on the semifinals
to Sport Express.
"If CSKA and Amkar progressed into the final game of the competition,
it means that they are stronger than the other teams now", said Hiddink.
"By the way I am very glad that two Russian goalkeepers will compete
in the final."
"Since the final match will take place before Russian team's final
gathering ahead of European tournament, it will be a perfect examination
for both goalies."
"I attended CSKA match against Tom and I can say that Moscow side
players controlled the whole game and they could have snatched a more
convincing win."
