The Poland coach Leo Beenhakker has cut six players from
his provisional 31-man squad for UEFA EURO 2008T and added Brazilian-born
Roger Guerreiro ahead of a training camp in the German town of Donaueschingen
from 19 to 31 May.
Reserve list
Korona Kielce goalkeeper Wojciech Kowalewski and FK Austria Wien defender
Arkadiusz Radomski, who respectively appeared three and four times in
qualifying, have been omitted along with midfielder Michal Golinski and
attacking trio Dawid Janczyk, Lukasz Piszczek and Artur Wichniarek. Yet
their hopes of featuring in Austria and Switzerland are not over according
to Beenhakker: "They're on a reserve list but could still make EURO
because of injury or the poor form of those selected." The 25-year-old
Roger was recently granted Polish citizenship by the country's President
Lech Kaczynski.
